Step 1:
Since the sensor is in direct contact with the exhaust pipe, ensure the engine is completely cooled before proceeding. To prevent electrical short circuits, it is recommended to disconnect the negative battery cable first.

Step 2:
Determine the installation location. Typically located between the EGR and the intake manifold.

Step 3:
Before removal, disconnect the connector on the old sensor. Be careful not to pull the wiring harness forcefully to avoid damaging the connector on the vehicle side.

Step 4:
Spray penetrating lubricant onto the threads of the old sensor.

Step 5:
Use a wrench to loosen the sensor by turning it counterclockwise. If the sensor is stuck due to rust, tighten it gently first, then try to loosen it.

Step 6:
Apply a small amount of high-temperature anti-seize agent to the threads of the new sensor. Ensure the anti-seize agent does not come into contact with the sensor probe tip, otherwise it will cause inaccurate readings.

Step 7:
Screw the new sensor into the exhaust pipe connector by hand. Tighten by hand first to ensure the threads are aligned and prevent incorrect tightening. Then tighten it completely with a wrench. Do not overtighten, as this may make future replacement difficult or cause the mounting connector to crack.

Step 8:
Insert the wiring harness connector into the sensor.
