This means that the component may only be suitable for racing cars or other off-road vehicles. If it is installed on vehicles driving on the highway, legal issues will be borne by oneself.
This is the installation process for the DP-0277: 2015.5-2016 Chevy/GMC Duramax LML 4" DPF & CAT Delete Pipe(With Muffler), provided for your reference during installation.
Step 1:
Remove all sensors from the exhaust pipe, loosen the flange that secures the drain pipe and DPF/exhaust pipe assembly.
Step 2:
Remove all factory plugs and ventilation holes from the diesel particulate filter, tie them to the truck frame or remove them from the clamp connection. Spray the hanger with WD-40, then pry off the hanger from the rubber bracket and remove the DPF from the truck.
Step 3:
1.Unscrew the 3-bolt flange that secures the OEM turbine straight pipe and downpipe. Use a 15mm socket to perform this step. (Note: Keep OEM nuts as they will be used with the new system).
2.To facilitate the disassembly of the downpipet, remove the hanger attached to the gearbox and cut off the pipe inlet.
Step 4:
Install the downpipe #1 and connect the 3-bolt flange of the downpipe to the 3-bolt flange of the turbine straight pipe with bolts.Press the flange downwards to secure the pipeline, but the pipeline can still move. Fix the hanger back with bolts Transmission.
Step 5:
Install pipe #2 Connect one end of the sloping surface to the tail end of the # 1 downpipe and tighten it loosely with a fixture. Place the hanger together into the OEM rubber hanger.
Step 6:
Connect the muffler pipe #3 to the first section of the factory shaft pipe, and if necessary, cut it to a suitable length to fit the pipe.
For the EC/SB wheelbase (143 inches), you need to cut off the non expanding end of part number #2 by approximately 8 inches.
Step 7:
Starting from pipe #1, tighten the scroll belt clamp and continue tightening until the rear connection, while tightening the clamp. Check the gap.
