How much of a difference do fuel additives actually make for the LML’s lubrication, and what brand are you trusting to keep your injectors quiet?

The LML’s CP4 pump is notoriously sensitive to the low-lubricity ULSD we find at the pumps today. How much faith do you actually put in fuel additives to prevent a total system "grenade," and what brand has earned your trust for keeping those injectors quiet?

Are you seeing a noticeable bump in MPGs or smoother idling, or is it mostly just "cheap insurance" for peace of mind? I’m curious how many of you run an additive with every single fill-up and which ones actually deliver results you can feel.

With the CP4, lubrication is everything. Modern ULSD is basically 'dry' compared to what these systems were designed for. How much of a difference does an additive make? A massive one. I’ve seen Bosch test data showing that a good lubricity improver can reduce wear scars by over 30%. I put my faith in additives every single tank because a $20 bottle is a lot cheaper than a $10,000 fuel system overhaul.
