HOW to deal with the constant "Poor Fluid Quality" and "Speed Limited" messages?

My 2015 LML keeps throwing the "Poor DEF Quality" code even though I just refilled with fresh Peak BlueDef. Now the truck is threatening to limit me to 5 mph. HOW do I reset this without a trip to the dealer? Is it usually the DEF tank heater that fails, or are the NOx sensors just overly sensitive? If I’m out of warranty, is it worth fixing the sensors, or is a "weight loss program" (delete) the inevitable answer for every LML owner?

The "Poor Fluid Quality" message on an LML is rarely about the fluid itself; it’s usually a failing NOx sensor or a crystallized DEF injector. Before the 5-mph limp mode locks you out, try cleaning the DEF injector tip with warm water—it’s a quick, free fix that often solves the "quality" error.

If the sensors are shot and you're out of warranty, the repair costs can snowball quickly. How many times are you willing to replace a $400 sensor before the "weight loss program" becomes the logical choice? For many LML owners, a delete is the only way to gain permanent reliability and escape the constant threat of being stranded by a sensitive emissions system.
