I’ve been reading about this massive GM 10-speed transmission recall regarding the valve body causing rear wheel lockups at high speeds. I daily a 2021 Chevy 3500 dually, constantly hauling 20,000+ lbs of equipment for my business. The thought of my rear duals locking up at 75 mph with a gooseneck attached is terrifying.
My truck has 65k miles and currently shifts fine, but from what I’m reading, this problem creeps up as the valve body degenerates over time. For those who got the official GM recall notice, did they actually swap your valve body, or did they just flash the TCM software and send you on your way? I’m seriously considering trading this truck in before the powertrain warranty expires.
