This is the installation process for the IA-0001: 1999-2006 4.8L 5.3L 6.0L Chevy GMC V8 Cold Air Intake w/Heat Shield,provided for your reference during installation.
Step 1:
1.Park the vehicle on a flat surface, allow the engine to cool down, and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2.Remove the original intake system: Unscrew the bolts of the air filter box.
1.Loosen the intake pipe clamps on the throttle body, and then remove the entire component, including the air flow sensor.
2.Install the new two heat shields according to the correct position using the bolts provided in the kit.

1.Fix the silicone connector and the hose clamp onto the throttle body, and then attach another connector and the hose clamp to the new intake pipe.
2.Loosen and attach the accessories to the heat shield.
1.Slide the new intake pipe into the throttle body connector and the housing connector, making sure it is kept away from the hot components of the engine.
2.Tighten all the fixtures and brackets to ensure a secure and airtight connection.
Move the MAF sensor from the old intake pipe to the new one. This usually requires a new O-ring or gasket. Adjust the bolts to the appropriate angle.
1.Make sure it is correctly installed and the MAF sensor is properly plugged in.
2.Reconnect the intake pipe and adjust all the accessories and fasteners.
