!Before installation, confirm that:
This high-performance component does not comply with the laws and regulations for highway driving and cannot be used on any vehicle that has been registered or certified for use on highways. This means that the component may only be suitable for racing cars or other off-road vehicles. If it is installed on vehicles driving on the highway, legal issues will be borne by oneself.
This is the installation process for the ER-0033: 2003-2007 6.0L Ford Powerstroke Coolant Filtration Filter Kit, for your reference during the installation process.
Step 1:
1.Disconnect Batteries ,Drain coolant.
2.Connect the bracket in the kit to the black filter quick pass through two holes with bolts and tighten with a wrench.
Step 2:
Lubricate the o-ring on the coolant filter with a petroleum based lubricant. Install the filter, hand tight, onto the filter block.
Step 3:
Standing in front of the vehicle, the coolant filter will be mounted on the left side of the radiator (passenger side).
Step 4:
1.Remove the nut stud with a 10mm deep socket. (Positive battery cable retainer may need to be removed to gain access).
2.Insert stud through the face of the coolant filter bracket and bolt unit on.Make sure to insert tab on the bottom of the bracket into the cut out.
Step 5:
Route hose on right hand side of the filter system across radiator shroud to the upper radiator bleed line, “overfl ow.”Splice brass “T” into line and secure with provided small clamps.
Step 6:
Route hose from top of fi lter block over aluminum charge pipe and around the engine oil fi ll tube.Splice aluminum “T” into heater core line and secure with the provide large hose clamps. If your vehicle is equipped with a heater valve in the heater hose, you need to tee into the motor side of the valve.
