This means that the component may only be suitable for racing cars or other off-road vehicles. If it is installed on vehicles driving on the highway, legal issues will be borne by oneself.
This is the installation process for the ER-0080: 2003-2007 6.0L Ford Powerstroke EGR Intake Pipe Intake Elbow Diesel, for your reference during the installation process.
Step 1:
Using an 11mm socket loosen hose clamps and remove silicone coupler from the intake elbow.
Step 2:
Using an 8mm socket remove the four hex bolts securing the OEM intake elbow in place. (03-04 models may require a 10mm socket for one of the hex bolts).
Step 3:
(For vehicles equipped with a throttle plate) Using an M5 allen head socket remove the three bolts holding the throttle plate in place. Before removing the throttle plate disconnect the two electrical connectors.
Step 4:
Ensure the O-ring is properly seated in the O-ring groove on the intake elbow ange. Using the supplied hardware and an M5 allen head socket install the Intake Elbow.
Step 5:
Re-install the silicone boot and tighten the hose clamps using an 11mm socket.
