Hey fellow 2019-2024 6.7L Ram Cummins owners! As an 8-year diesel truck modification technician, I’ve tested countless parts on this generation. Factory-built for torque and towing, these trucks still benefit from upgrades—stock EGR/DPF/CCV systems cause soot buildup and higher maintenance, while bed covers and towing gear boost functionality.
Today, I’m sharing my go-to TruckTok-focused modification plan for the 2019-2024 6.7L Cummins 2500/3500, broken down by system. No hype, just hands-on advice—all parts are direct-fit, no custom fabrication needed.

1. EGR System Modification: Eliminate Soot Buildup & Cooler Issues

Stock EGR recirculates hot exhaust, causing soot buildup and higher coolant temps. Deleting it boosts reliability, and TruckTok has two solid options (not for Cab & Chassis).
The TruckTok 2010-2024 EGR Valve Cooler Delete Kit (aluminum alloy/silicone) fully replaces stock EGR valve/cooler—no extra parts. It lowers coolant temps, speeds circulation, and has a pre-tapped manifold for EGT probes, cutting soot buildup.
For a more robust mount, choose the 2009-2024 EGR Delete Kit (aluminum alloy). Its integrated DDC riser bracket mounts directly to the engine (30-40% faster install), routes coolant to the cylinder head rear for better heat dissipation, and includes a pre-tapped EGT plate.
Installation tip: Set aside 2-3 hours, drain coolant first, and torque bolts to specs.

2. DPF System Modification: Unleash Power & Reduce Backpressure

Stock DPF clogs, wastes fuel via regeneration, and restricts power. Deleting it is impactful—TruckTok has three options (not for Cab & Chassis/2500 air-ride).
Daily drivers: 4" Cat & DPF Delete Pipe (T-409 stainless steel) replaces stock DPF/cat, boosting throttle response and fuel mileage with easy lift/jack-stand install.
Off-roaders: 4" DPF Delete Downpipe Back Exhaust (409 stainless steel) is a full system with OE hangers, smooth flow, and an aggressive (not loud) exhaust note for better torque.
Max performance: 5" DPF Delete Downpipe Back Exhaust (stainless steel) offers less backpressure, more torque/HP, and a deeper exhaust note—ideal for heavy towing/off-roading.
Important: A tuner is required to disable emissions controls (else error codes/limp mode).

3. All-in-One DPF/EGR/DEF Delete Kit: Convenience & Compatibility

For full EGR/DPF/DEF deletion, the 2019-2021 All-in-One Kit (4"/5" T-409 exhaust, EGR components, Mini Maxx Tuner-V2) is turnkey. The tuner disables emissions systems, and parts work seamlessly—install in 4-6 hours (fits 2019-2021 2500/3500, not air-ride/Cab & Chassis).

4. Tuning Accessory: EZ-Lynk/CCV SOTF Switch

EZ-Lynk users need the 2010+ SOTF Switch. It lets you switch tunes on the fly (no stopping) with high-temp wire and clean installation. Mounts near the wheel, installs in 30-60 minutes, fits 2010-2024 6.7L Cummins.

5. CCV Upgrade: Billet Valve Cover & Oil Catch Can

Stock CCV lets oil particles enter the intake—upgrade to the 2006-2024 Billet Valve Cover & Oil Catch Can (aircraft aluminum). It controls crankcase pressure, blocks oil particles, and fits 2019-2024 2500/3500. Easy install, protects engine post-deletes.

6. Truck Bed Cover: No-Drill Protection & Style

TruckTok’s no-drill covers protect cargo, reduce drag, and polish your truck’s look—soft (PVC) and hard (fiberglass) options for all bed lengths (not for Rambox/toolboxes where noted).

Soft Roll-Up (PVC)

  • 8FT: Wear/wind-proof, easy to roll, fits 8FT beds.
  • 6.4FT: Low-profile, same PVC build, fits 6.4FT beds.
  • 5.7FT: Lightweight, fits 5.7FT short beds.

Hard Tri-Fold (Fiberglass)

  • 8FT: Durable, fixture-mounted, fits 96.3" beds.
  • 6.4FT: Sleek, fits 74.6-76.3" beds.
  • 5.7FT: Impact-resistant, fits 68.4" short beds.
Tip: Clean bed rails first—install in 1-2 hours with basic tools.

7. Towing & Rescue Gear: Heavy-Duty for Modified Power

Modified Cummins need tough towing/rescue gear—all fit 2" receivers (standard on 2500/3500).
Tri-Ball Hitch Mount (steel, powder-coated): 3 chrome balls (5k/6k/10k lbs), 3/4" D-ring—versatile for towing/off-road.
Adjustable Drop Hitch (aluminum): 6" drop/rise (1" increments), 12k/7.5k lbs capacity, dual anti-theft locks.
Shackle Hitch Receiver (forged steel): 70k lbs break strength, dual-mount D-ring—ideal for off-road recovery.
1"x30ft Recovery Rope Kit (Nylon 66): 35k lbs strength, 2 soft shackles—water/mud/freeze-proof, complete kit.

Final Thoughts & Installation Tips

These mods boost performance, reliability, and functionality—all parts are installer-tested. Key tips:
  • Start with EGR/DPF delete (or all-in-one kit) for biggest gains.
  • Always use a tuner with emissions deletes.
  • Take time installing—avoid rushed mistakes.
  • Measure bed length before ordering a cover.
  • Use a torque wrench for engine/exhaust parts.
  • All "Delete" performance parts are strictly for off-road or race use only. Check your local regulations, legal issues will be borne by oneself
Leave comments with questions—happy modding, fellow Cummins owners!
