This is the installation process for the DP-0296: 2019-2024 6.7L Ram Cummins 4" DPF Delete Downpipe Back Exhaust, provided for your reference during installation.
Step 1:
Firstly, remove the 6 factory sensors from the exhaust system and disconnect all electrical connections to safely remove the factory parts.
Step 2:
Starting from the rear of the truck, loosen the clamp that secures the exhaust assembly to the DPF, and remove the assembly from the rubber isolator on the frame to free the exhaust pipe assembly.
Step 3:
Use a wrench to remove the four nuts that secure the rear and front cans. You can also remove the factory hanger bracket located next to the flange you removed from the crossbeam for easier disassembly of the front tank. Pay attention to the weight when disassembling.
Step 4:
Loosen the nut on the V-shaped clamp at the connection between the downpipe and the front half of the DPF, remove the clamp, and then remove the entire DPF section.
Note: Keep the factory clamp gasket for future use.
Step 5:
Firstly, slide the # 1 front pipe over two crossbeams and connect it to the downpipe using factory fixtures and gaskets. Ensure that the hanger is located in the rubber isolator and loosely secure the pipes and clamps for future adjustments.
Step 6:
Now hang the axle and taipipe combo #5 & #6,so that the pipes are fully engaged in their respective hangers and are seated into each other.
Step 7:
1.Install muffler tube replacement part # 4 onto one end of the axle tube.
2.Measure the distance between the muffler pipe and the front pipe #1, which is the extension length you need. Choose extension pipes # 3 and # 2 according to the wheelbase requirements, and if necessary, cut them appropriately to fit your truck.
Step 8:
After your extension pipe is in place, check whether all pipe systems are aligned, and adjust the clamp before tightening all pipe clamps, and gradually move from the downpipe to the rear of the truck.
