Did you just drop your tailgate on your foot?

We’ve all been there. You unlatch the tailgate, get distracted, and BANG—the damn thing slams down like a guillotine. It’s heavy, loud, and it’s a matter of time before someone (or something) gets hurt. Why are we still wrestling with these heavy tailgates in 2026? Has anyone installed a shock kit yet? Is it as "one-finger" easy as the videos show?

It’s a 15-minute install. Seriously, stop wrestling with the heavy steel and just put the shock on.
