!Before installation, confirm that:
This high-performance component is designed for towing.Always double-check that all locking pins are fully engaged and locked before towing. Failure to do so may result in property damage or serious injury.
This is the installation process for the TH-0021: Winch Hook Stopper Shock Absorbent Cable Line Saver, for your reference during the installation process.
Step 1:
Release the reel and manually pull out approximately 2 feet of cable, ensuring sufficient safe operating space at the hook end.
Step 2:
Attach the upper and lower halves of the rubber buffer to the cable. Insert the four long bolts and place the washers. Use a wrench to alternately tighten the four nuts at the bottom until both halves are securely locked onto the rope.
Step 3:
Re-engage the winch clutch. Start the winch and slowly pull in the cable until the back of the winch hook is firmly against the rubber buffer, and the other end of the buffer is against the rope guide. Ensure the hook is securely fixed and does not wobble.
Step 4:
When using the winch during actual rescue operations, it is recommended to keep this buffer approximately 3/4 of the way down from the hook. This serves as a visual marker to prevent excessive force during the final stage of cable pull-in.
