Step 1:
Insert the shank of the Scorpion Tail Hitch into the standard 2-inch trailer hitch receiver tube on your vehicle.
Step 2:
1.Insert the key into the hitch lock and turn it clockwise to unlock the mechanism. Prepare the locking pin for insertion.
2.Adjust the hitch to your desired extension length. Align the mounting holes of the hitch shank with the holes on the receiver tube, then insert the locking pin completely through.
3.Press the lock cylinder until it is flush and clicks into place. Cover the lock with the protective rubber cap to prevent dust and corrosion.
Step 3:
Place the hitch tightener (U-bolt stabilizer) over the edge of the hitch shank where it meets the receiver. Tighten the bolts evenly to eliminate wobbling and noise.
Step 4:
Installation is complete. Perform a final check to ensure the locking pin is secure and the tightener is firm before towing or recovery operations.
