!Before installation, confirm that:
This high-performance component does not comply with the laws and regulations for highway driving and cannot be used on any vehicle that has been registered or certified for use on highways. This means that the component may only be suitable for racing cars or other off-road vehicles. If it is installed on vehicles driving on the highway, legal issues will be borne by oneself.
This is the installation process for the ER-0088: 2011-2023 6.7L Ford Powerstroke Diesel EGR Delete Kit, for your reference during the installation process.
Step 1:
1. Disconnect two batteries and drain the coolant.
2. Remove the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor located on the air intake. Release the red tab to lock the plug for disassembly.
Step 2:
Release the two clamps that connect the intake box to the manifold intake pipe joint, then pull out the three cooling pipes from the remaining intake pipe clamps and remove the remaining intake pipes.
Step 3:
Disconnect and completely remove the two larger coolant lines leading to the EGR cooler.
Step 4:
1.Disconnect the hose connected to the exhaust gas recirculation system, and then disconnect the two clamps connected to the T-shaped pipe at the other end.
2.The straight hook accessories provided in the installation kit.
Step 5:
Remove the wiring harness from the top of the EGR cooler. An orange plug with a yellow locking tab and a black plug, and connect the wiring harness from take it off the bracket.
Pull off the vacuum line at the top of the EGR system, remove the hard plastic line from the port, and plug it with the provided rubber cover.
Step 6:
1.Remove the longer EGR pipe that is secured in place with five bolts. There are two bolts on each tooth, one on the bracket. Ensure that all hardware and gaskets are retained for future use.
2. Remove the short EGR pipe fixed with four bolts. Ensure that all hardware and gaskets are retained for future use. Pay attention to removing the probe connected to the pipeline.
Step 7:
1.Disconnect the clamp of the EGR top cooling pipe.
2.Remove the PCM wiring harness from the passenger side firewall. Secure it so that it does not hinder installation.
Step 8:
Remove the all bolts that secure the ends of the EGR cooler, pull the cooler forward, carefully inspect and remove any clips or wiring harnesses that may be connected to the cooler, and then remove the cooler from the vehicle.
Step 9:
Install the provided baffle, install the non fully enclosed baffle below the enclosed baffle, and use the provided bolts to fit the flat other side with another baffle for installation.
Step 10:
Use the two hexagonal bolts provided in the kit to secure the intake block O-ring.
Step 11:
1.Install the coolant baffle using hex head bolts and stock washers.
2.And screw the previously removed temperature sensor probe into the blocking plate.
Step 12:
Disconnect the clamp that secures the coolant pipeline to the firewall and remove the pipeline from the coolant port.
Step 13:
Reconnect the cooling liquid pipeline provided in the kit to the port where the inventory pipeline was unplugged, ensuring that the clamp is securely fastened. If it is inconvenient to operate, the passenger side mudguard can be removed for installation.
Step 14:
1.Use a clamp to insert the port of the other coolant pipeline into the adapter of the coolant pipe with a plug and clamp it tightly.
2.Reconnect the PCM plug and clamp the clip tightly.
Step 15:
Remove the rear-left (passenger side closest to the firewall) bolt on the black intake “Y”.Using factory bolt, loosely install supplied Pressure Sensor Bracket. Using supplied small bolt, washers, and nut, bolt previously installed bracket to the pressure line hook-bracket. Tighten all hardware.
Step 16:
Install the supplied coolant line from the degas tank (radiator overflow tank) to the disconnected port near the bottom passenger side of the radiator.
Step 17:
1.Re-install all of the intake components.
2.Refill the coolant following factory specifications. Run the engine and check for leaks. After the engine has reached operating temperature check coolant level and top of as needed.
