This is the installation process for the ER-0293: 2018-2023 Ram Cummins Pickup Cummins SGW Security Gateway PassThru Harness Bypass, provided for your reference during installation.
Step 1:
Please ensure that the vehicle is turned off before performing subsequent operations.
Step 2:
The OBD2 interface is located beneath the dashboard, usually on the driver's side. Insert the male end of the bypass wiring harness into the OBD2I interface of the vehicle, ensuring it is fully and tightly plugged in without any looseness.
Step 3:
Insert the 2-pin wire bundle into the vehicle connector.The connection operation of vehicle models from different years varies slightly.
2018: Insert the 2-pin wire bundle into any empty position in the connector.
2019+ : Insert the wiring harness into the bottom row of the connector from the fifth position from the left.
Step 4:
Insert the OBD2 connector of the device to be used into the OBD-II female terminal of the wiring harness and ensure a firm connection. After use, just remove it. This cable can be reused and does not require permanent installation.
