Is a "Bypass" filter enough to protect the 6.4L oil cooler?

Most of these kits are "bypass" systems, meaning they only filter a small percentage of the coolant at a time. Does this actually stop the particles from reaching the oil cooler, or is it just a feel-good mod?

Even as a bypass, the coolant circulates fast. Over time, the entire system gets scrubbed multiple times. It’s 100x better than nothing.

It’s about "continuous cleaning." You can't do full-flow because it would restrict the volume the engine needs to stay cool.
