The L5P Functional Hood Scoop: Engineering marvel or debris magnet?

I love the look of the functional hood scoop on my 2020 L5P, but I noticed some leaves and road grit getting into the airbox housing. Is the water separator system actually efficient enough for heavy rain, or should I be worried about soaking the air filter?

Don't sweat it. GM engineers did massive water-shedding tests. There's a one-way drain at the bottom—as long as you aren't deep-water fording, you're fine.
