Yet another EGR cooler failure... Bypass or Delete? (2005 F350)

My 6.0L is blowing white smoke on startup. Looks like another EGR cooler failure. I’m tired of this. For those who did the EGR delete—does it trigger a permanent CEL (Check Engine Light)? Also, does blocking off the EGR actually keep the engine running cooler, or is that just forum talk?

The EGR cooler and Oil Cooler are linked. When the oil cooler clogs, it starves the EGR cooler of coolant, then it blows. Delete the EGR, and install a Coolant Filtration Kit. That's the secret.
