!Before installation, confirm that:
This high-performance component is designed for towing.Always double-check that all locking pins are fully engaged and locked before towing. Failure to do so may result in property damage or serious injury.
This is the installation process for the TH-0018: 2" Receiver Trailer Hitch 38,500 lbs Break Strength with Shackle & Lock Pin, for your reference during the installation process.
Step 1:
Insert the black square steel rod directly into the original 2-inch trailer hitch at the rear of the vehicle. Ensure the holes are aligned.
Step 2:
Pass the transverse locking pin through the hitch and ball joint. Lock it with the key to prevent slippage during driving.
Step 3:
Align the open end of the D-type shackle with the mounting hole below the trailer ball joint. Align the two round holes of the shackle with the center hole on the ball joint; the threaded locking pin will pass through these three holes. Tighten the threaded locking pin, and the trailer strap is securely fastened to the shackle.
Step 4:
Connect the tow shield, used to attach to the tow connector at the front of the trailer or RV. The ball joint design allows the trailer to swing freely up and down and left and right relative to the vehicle in front during driving, ensuring a stable and flexible connection when turning and traversing uneven surfaces.
