Remove the original valve cover.
Next, gently remove the crankcase ventilation filter.

Using a 10mm socket wrench, unscrew the six bolts securing the original valve cover base. Ensure you don't miss any sensors or connectors attached to the valve cover. The valve cover base can then be removed.
Step 5:
Now, inspect the gasket. If the gasket is cracked or worn, replace it.
Step 6:
Carefully install the Cummins aluminum billet valve cover onto the engine, ensuring it is perfectly aligned with the bolt holes. Install the bolts and tighten them in a cross pattern to evenly distribute pressure and prevent valve cover deformation.

Finally, reconnect all the hoses, wires, or brackets that were removed. Carefully check that all parts are securely in place and that everything is working correctly.
