!Before installation, confirm that:
This high-performance component does not comply with the laws and regulations for highway driving and cannot be used on any vehicle that has been registered or certified for use on highways. This means that the component may only be suitable for racing cars or other off-road vehicles. If it is installed on vehicles driving on the highway, legal issues will be borne by oneself.
This is the installation process for the DP-0272: 2013-2018 6.7L Ram Cummins 5" Turbo Back DPF Delete Pipe, provided for your reference during installation.
Step 1:
1.Remove all sensors and DEF injector connections from the downspout, SCR, and diesel particulate filter.
2.Unscrew the two flange connections and loosen the clamp on the exhaust pipe end. Remove the SCR and DPF from the truck, and then continue to remove the exhaust tailpipe. At the turbocharger, loosen the bolt to match the clamp and remove the clamp that secures the drain pipe.
2.Install the downpipe #1 using the original turbine belt clamp. During the installation process, it is necessary to clamp the clamp downwards so that it can secure the pipeline, but still allow for some room for movement of the pipeline.
Step 4:
To install pipeline # 2, it is necessary to insert the metal hanger into the original rubber insulator from the factory. Note that sensors and pipelines do not need to be reinstalled into the exhaust system. Please operate according to the instructions of the calibrator.
Step 5:
If necessary, add an extension pipe at the end of pipeline. For MegaCab / SB models, an extension tube of # 4-1 is required; For the CrewCab / LB model,an extension tube of #4 is required.
Step 6:
Next, install the # 3 muffler delete pipe. The # 5 pipe is located on the axle pipe and the # 6 tail pipe. Place the hanger into the OEM rubber hanger together.(* Attention: For some trucks, you need to move two factory rubber insulators from the factory exhaust to the metal hangers on the truck cross beam in front of the rear axle.)
Step 7:
The pipeline installation should be moderately tight, and the new exhaust system should be adjusted to meet the clearance and appearance requirements.Tighten all connections and fixtures evenly, starting from the front flange connection and then proceeding with the subsequent connections.
