This high-performance component does not comply with the laws and regulations for highway driving and cannot be used on any vehicle that has been registered or certified for use on highways. This means that the component may only be suitable for racing cars or other off-road vehicles. If it is installed on vehicles driving on the highway, legal issues will be borne by oneself.
This is the installation process for the ER-0030: 2004-2005 6.6L Chevy GMC Silverado LLY Duramax Diesel EGR Delete Kit, provided for your reference during installation.
Step 1:
1.Disconnect the battery circuit to ensure safety.
2.Then drain the coolant.
Step 2:
1.Loosen the hose clamps and support bolts, then remove the intake resonator.
2.Loosen the hose clamps on the intake manifold and remove the intake manifold.
Step 3:
1.Remove the cable ties on the intake manifold and pull the wiring harness out of the intake manifold.
2.Remove the four bolts securing the intake manifold to the EGR valve and the two bolts securing it to the intake manifold crossover pipe. Loosen the hose clamps on the boost pipe to remove the intake manifold.
Step 4:
Remove the PCV hose from the passenger side of the truck.
Step 5:
Remove the four bolts and nuts on the exhaust side of the EGR cooler, remove the four bolts and nuts securing the EGR valve to the engine, disconnect the hoses at both ends of the cooler, and then pull the entire EGR assembly upwards.
Step 6:
Install the new intake pipe onto the engine.
Step 7:
Install the polished stainless steel exhaust plug using two 20mm and two 30mm bolts.
Step 8:
Install the included hose from the firewall to the front of the engine to replace the original ECR cooler.
Step 9:
Add coolant in the reverse order, and reinstall the intake pipe, boost pipe, intake manifold, PCV hose, wiring, etc.
