!Before installation, confirm that:
This high-performance component is designed for towing.Always double-check that all locking pins are fully engaged and locked before towing. Failure to do so may result in property damage or serious injury.
This is the installation process for the TH-0017: 2Pcs Shackle Mounts with Backer Plates 42,000 lbs Break Strength, for your reference during the installation process.
Step 1:
Choose a solid, flat location on the bumper, ensuring there's enough space behind the bumper to accommodate the square backplate. If drilling is required, attach the shackle holder directly to the bumper and use a marker to mark the drilling points on the bumper through the four holes in the base.
Step 2:
If drilling is necessary, first drill a locating hole with a 3mm-5mm drill bit to prevent slippage with a larger drill bit. Switch to a drill bit of the same diameter as the bolts and drill vertically through the bumper. Clean up any metal debris around the hole after drilling.
Step 3:
Assemble using a "sandwich" method. Your assembly sequence is as follows: from the outside in, outermost shackle holder, middle bumper, innermost square backplate, insert the bolts, and then tighten the nuts on the back.
Step 4:
Use the "diagonal tightening" method to lock all four bolts in sequence. After installation, shake the bracket to ensure it doesn't move. After the first actual towing rescue, be sure to check again whether the nuts are loose.
